(Los Angeles) The superhero film Black Adam continues to occupy the first step of the North American box office after three weeks in dark rooms, according to provisional figures published on Sunday.

This feature film, where Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson plays Teth Adam, a former slave endowed with superpowers just released from a very long prison sentence and who finds a transformed and hostile universe, has garnered 18.5 million dollars according to the specialist firm Exhibitor Relations.
At the international level, this derivative of Shazam! (2019) has now raised a whopping $182 million.
Coming in second place, the cartoon One Piece Movie: Redbased on the universe of the very popular eponymous manga, raised 9.5 million.
The romantic comedy Ticket To Paradisein which Julia Roberts and George Clooney play ex-spouses who put aside their differences and travel to Bali to try to prevent their daughter’s marriage, deemed hasty, is in third place with 8.5 million revenue dollars.
The Psychological Horror Movie Smile came in fourth with four million, bringing its total revenue in North America to nearly $100 million.
The film tells the disturbing story of a therapist (Sosie Bacon) who begins to lose touch with reality after witnessing a horrific event involving a patient.
And in the fifth row comes Prey for the Devilwith 3.9 million, another horror film where Jacqueline Byers portrays an exorcist nun who fights demonic forces.
