Biterrois Victor Koretzky stands out in Paris

At 27, Victor Koretzky had his first big breakaway since signing with B&B Hotels. Committed to the Paris-Nice, the biterrois (mountain bike specialist before switching to the road), was even elected combatant of the 6th stagebetween Courthézon and Aubagne, this Friday, with six passes on the program.

He took the powder of escampette very early, after about ten kilometers at the end of the morning, initially in the company of four men, including another Frenchman. The small group was finally joined 26km from the finish, just after the summit of the Col de l’Espigoulier.

By the end this Sunday, two mountain stages, including the one scheduled for this Saturday between Nice and the Col de Turini (155.5 km). In the general classification, Victor Koretzky occupies the 68th place. Slovenian Primos Roglic is yellow jersey.
