One of the most important social networks falls into the hands of the richest man in the world. Twitter announced on Monday April 25 that it had accepted the takeover offer proposed by American billionaire Elon Musk. According to the press release issued by the company (in English)the boss of Tesla will buy 100% of the shares of the social network for 54.20 dollars per share, as part of a transaction valued at around 44 billion dollars (41 billion euros).
Elon Musk said last week that he had secured $46.5 billion to complete the acquisition through two bank loans from Morgan Stanley, as well as his personal fortune.
