This was indicated by the NFL Network, citing sources familiar with the matter on Wednesday. The player concerned met with many specialists during the process and the Florida organization expects him to be at his best when football activities resume.
On Friday, ESPN reported that Tagovailoa will miss the Pro Bowl scheduled for Sunday. The 24-year-old center had to follow league protocol again on December 26 after suffering an injury during the previous day’s game against the Green Bay Packers. Earlier in the campaign, he suffered two other major shocks – in weeks 3 and 4 – and found himself on the floor momentarily.
The management of his file by the Miami team and the league prompted them to modify a few rules of procedure to follow with players struggling with a concussion.
Having fired 25 touchdowns and had 3,548 passing yards, the left-hander missed the Dolphins’ last three games of the season, but they made it to the playoffs. They dropped their first-round meeting against the Buffalo Bills.
