Big dose of love for the Ukrainian pee-wee team in Quebec

The population of Quebec responded massively to the first game of the Ukrainian team at the Tournoi pee-wee de Québec. Empty benches were a rare commodity and there was a crowd of white vests in the stands of the Videotron Center to support these young people who simply want to play hockey in a country devastated by war.

Young and old felt the importance of coming to watch this match, which even the general manager of the tournament, Patrick Dom, described as historic on social networks. This is the case of Stéphane Hébert who came to attend the meeting with his five-year-old child Louis-Philippe and a good part of his family.

“We try to come every year and it’s a full day with the little Nordics and the little Remparts who follow, but we came to support Ukraine”, explains the father who was excited at the idea of being able to watch young Ukrainians.
