There star Academy should have made its return on TF1+ and TFX
on Monday March 25, 2024, but the TF1 group, in agreement with DMLSTV and EndemolShine, has just made suddenly reverse. As revealed Puremedias this Wednesday, March 13, less than two weeks before the broadcast of daily news focused on the Star Academy Tour 2024, and while episodes have most likely already been canned, TF1 has decided to urgently deprogram this daily, which would have had to be simultaneously broadcast on TF1+ every day of the week, and on TFX every evening before prime time at 9:10 p.m.
Officially, an EndemolShine executive explained the reasons for this emergency deprogramming. According to him, the producers do not wish to constrain the 7 candidates of the tour
to a colossal workloadand want them focus primarily on the tourwithout exhausting them with dailies to shoot and box between each show. “This is the start of a great and first artistic adventure for the students, the pace of which will be very intense. With more than seventy dates over the next four months, they need to concentrate 100% on this tour, and, in parallel, their solo projects” he explained.
A recording of the show for a bonus broadcast is planned
However, EndemolShine and DMLSTV are not closing the door to new projects with Pierre Garnier and his comrades on the sidelines of the tour: “We are in discussions with them to think about different avenues around a possible format on the tour. All of this remains to be confirmed, depending on their pace and their availability”. A few days ago, The Parisian revealed that discussions had been opened between the productions and TF1 to a recording of the concert given at the Accor Hôtel Arena next June, for retransmission in the first part of the evening during the summer. Star Academy fans can rest assured: the show will be back in 2024 for season 12, and casting is still open.
