big battle on BFMTV between Christophe Castaner and Sébastien Chenu!

Outgoing President Emmanuel Macron came well ahead of the first round, this Sunday, April 10, with 28.6%. He will find Marine Le Pen in the second round, with 23.7% of the vote, on April 24. Jean-Luc Mélenchon did better than during his other two campaigns with a score of 20.4%.

On the set of BFM-TV, Apolline de Malherbe and Maxime Switek had notably invited the president of the group La République en Marche to the National Assembly Christophe Castaner and the regional councilor of Hauts-de-France (RN), Sébastien Chenu. The latter welcomed the result of his candidate in the first round of the presidential election.

“Marine Le Pen has imposed a new divide between globalists and those who believe in the nation”he declared before adding that it is a real success according to him, “all the more so with a candidate who wanted to walk on our toes”. Christophe Castaner wanted to be cautious because “the election is not played”. “We can be satisfied that Emmanuel Macron is progressing compared to five years ago”.

The journalists wanted to come back to the words of this one with regard to Marine Le Pen. “Racist program”, “non-republican candidate”he said before the first round. “I prefer my caution to the arrogance of the representative of MLP who already sees the victory of his candidate (…) we must not say everything and anything”he said. “You are already insulting the voters”began by responding to his interlocutor before being cut off by the former Minister of the Interior. “I let you speak so let me do it because I respect you (…) Respect the French and let me express myself… Don’t be brutal”said the RN spokesperson.
