(Toronto) Bo Bichette homered for the tie before Santiago Espinal’s double gave the Blues Jays a lead they held to beat the Texas Rangers 4-3 on Saturday.

Bichette was two-for-four at bat with two runs for the Blue Jays (2-0), who played in front of 43,386 fans at Rogers Centre. Espinal had an RBI as an emergency hitter for the second straight game.
Kevin Gausman allowed eight hits in his first start for the Blue Jays but held the Rangers to three runs in five innings of work. He struck out five batters.
Relief pitchers Trevor Richards, Yimi Garcia, Tim Mayza and Jordan Romano completed the job. Romano got his second save of the season.
Corey Seager and Nathaniel Lowe each had two hits and an RBI for the Rangers (0-2), who lost Friday 10-8 to the Blues Jays.
Dane Dunning struck out four batters but allowed five hits and three runs in five innings. The loss was added to Brett Martin’s record.
Spencer Patton and Matt Bush also made appearances on the mound for the Rangers.
The two teams will meet again on Sunday in Toronto to conclude the three-game series.
