Very hot weather is expected over the next few days in the Ile-de-France mountains. L’NFB (Office National des Forêts) calls for public vigilance.
One in two fires due to human carelessness
The month of June traditionally remains the period of the year when the public frequents the forests the most from Ile-de-France. Everything suggests that this trend will increase in the coming days.
If the desire to go to the forest to cool off or simply get some oxygen will be great, it must be accompanied by responsible reflexes. Most fires one on twoare due to human imprudence.
Simple gestures easily applicable
They can be avoided by applying simple gestures : do not smoke, nor throw cigarette butts in the forest and do not light campfires, bivouacs and barbecues.
Since the beginning of spring, the NFB has already counted a dozen fires in the public forests of Île-de-France. The largest affected 8 hectares of vegetation in the Yvelines.
