Launched in August, the seven pilot projects in different municipalities will continue until March 31.
This extension will make it possible “to test the equipment over the entire winter period and [de] compensate for the lack of data caused by the months of pandemic, ”said in a press release the Quebec Society for Recovery and Recycling (Recyc-Québec).
The organization will extend an additional $175,000 for these two additional months of operation, an amount that is added to the $1.3 million initially planned.
Further details will follow.
