With Born To Run for a first part at the summit. And three bonus tracks to celebrate the reunited E Street Band, Blood Brothers To life, to death. A quarter of a century later, it is “the best of himself” that he offers, including the albums before his glory. The symbolism Growin’ Up (from the initial record, released in 1973) sums up the intention of a lifetime: to grow. Age as best as possible. The septuagenarian is less healthy, the choice of titles bears witness to this: the overly positive ones Glory Days And Better Days were removed, My Hometown abandoned, the pitiless The Ghost Of Tom Joad inserted. Only four titles between 2002 and 2020 find favor, several albums are not represented. Might as well give to Rosalita (Come Out Tonight), piece de resistance of 50 years on stage, its deserved place. Survive and continue is the goal now.
