Daughter of singer Jeane Manson and film producer André Djaoui, Shirel is a songwriter who draws her inspiration from her French, American and Eastern roots, her encounters, her experiences.
Shirel notably became known to the general public through several musicals in which she played the leading role, like that of Esmeralda in “Notre Dame de Paris”, or even “Les enfants du Soleil”, “Avenue Q”, and recently “Yentl & me”, but also thanks to 6 albums in which she takes us into her world.
The writing of his new opus “Sur mesure” was life-saving, allowingmove forward in the uncertainty of the Covid, an uncertain period that Shirel experienced as an invitation to renewal, but also as an imperative for introspection. This brings out songs like “Lost in You”, a flagship title, a duet with Pop and retro sounds, “Wild Love”, which she performs with Tsahi Halevi, one of the emblematic actors of the Fauda series, as well as “Numéro Un”, musical tribute to the career of his mother, Jeane Manson….
These two years of pandemic were also years of creationthat of the Kimono brand “One Peace Revelation”, created with his fashion photographer friend Ovlac, who advocates vintage and Up cycling through unique and colorful patchworks.
It is therefore quite naturally, after two years of diving into the unknown, of reflections, of mixed feelings, convinced that nothing is left to chance, that each meeting and event is just one more piece to a tailor-made path whose contours only become clearer in retrospect, which Shirel called this album “Tailor-made”.
