Mr. Drainville is thus leaving his radio position after more than five years at the microphone of a program on Cogeco station 98.5 FM, after a brief stint on a program on FM 93 in Quebec City.

The former PQ deputy was elected from 2007 to 2016 and appointed minister under the Marois government from 20212 to 2014 where he was notably responsible for the controversial file of the Charter of Values.

The arrival in the ranks of the CAQ of the former PQ heavyweight coincides with the announcement Friday morning of the current deputy for Lévis and president of the National Assembly, François Paradis, who will not seek another mandate.
