Bernard Campan and his daughter Nina in Comme des reines: A filming not so easy…

Those nostalgic for the Unknowns will surely be pleased to find Bernard Campan this evening on France 2 in prime time in like queens. A dramatic TV movie signed Marion Vernoux, where the actor plays a father ready to do anything to get his daughter out of prostitution. A configuration to say the least astonishing because it is with his own daughter that the actor shares the screen for an experience more real than nature. Even if the complicity of the father and the daughter was not really an advantage during the filming, as explained by Bernard Campan to our colleagues from TV 7 days this June 13.

I admit that I was very apprehensive. There is this sequence where I visit him in a hotel room, his place of ‘work’. The scene was going to be terrible to play, but it was simple, modest, but of great intensity” remembered the comedian. Yet it was he who defended that his daughter had the necessary qualities to play this role. “It was I who suggested to the director, Marion Vernoux, to take Nina. When I discovered the script, I found that the character of Louise exuded an energy that made me think of my daughter. She still passed the auditions. This telefilm remains a beautiful gift that life can offer to a father and his daughter.” he said, not regretting this extraordinary experience and engraved in his memory as his first professional and family collaboration with the young girl.

Nina is not his first feat on television. Indeed, she stood out in 2016 by participating in The Voice Kids. In the process, she became a student at the Cours Florent and at only 20 years old, she has now won the prize for the best hope at the Luchon Festival 2022. “I found it surreal to land such a role and play with my father. It was a dream to be able to give him the line one day” she said about this latest project.
