“I admit that I was very apprehensive. There is this sequence where I visit him in a hotel room, his place of ‘work’. The scene was going to be terrible to play, but it was simple, modest, but of great intensity” remembered the comedian. Yet it was he who defended that his daughter had the necessary qualities to play this role. “It was I who suggested to the director, Marion Vernoux, to take Nina. When I discovered the script, I found that the character of Louise exuded an energy that made me think of my daughter. She still passed the auditions.
