Berlin Open | Belinda Bencic defeats Maria Sakkari and reaches the final

(Berlin) Swiss Belinda Bencic, 17e world, qualified on Saturday for the final of the WTA tournament on grass in Berlin by beating the Greek Maria Sakkari (6e) 7-6 (8-6), 6-4, 6-4.

Already winner of eight titles on the circuit at 25, Bencic will face Sunday in the final the winner of the other semi-final, which opposes the young 18-year-old American revelation Coco Gauff (13e) to the number one seed of the tournament, the solid 27-year-old Tunisian Ons Jabeur (4e).
