The production company micro_scope unveils the first images of the film this Tuesday. Shepherds.
The sixth feature film by Quebec director Sophie Deraspe (Antigoneseries Black beast) tells the extraordinary story of an aspiring Montreal writer who decides to drop everything to become a shepherd in Provence.
The screenplay, co-written by Sophie Deraspe and Mathyas Lefebure, is freely inspired by the latter’s book, Where do you come from, shepherd?. Félix-Antoine Duval plays this Quebecer who will have to face several challenges in his quest for a new life.
The demanding filming of this Canada-France production took place over several weeks, notably in the Alps. The Press spent a few days on the set.
The film is expected in Quebec cinemas on November 15, after a world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
