Benyamin Netanyahu’s office denies the Prime Minister’s presence at the American Congress on June 13

Benjamin Netanyahu will not deliver a speech to the US Congress on June 13. The Prime Minister’s Office declared, Tuesday June 4, to Israeli media that the date of his trip had not “not been finalized”. Yet, THEAmerican media Punchbowl News and Politico reported Monday that the head of the Israeli government would give a speech to elected representatives of Congress on June 13. The United States wants the UN Security Council to support the truce plan. Washington announced on Monday a draft resolution to support the Gaza ceasefire agreement presented by President Joe Biden and call on Hamas to accept it. Many leaders and governments, including in the region, have supported this plan and we call on the Security Council to join them in calling for the implementation of this plan without delay and without new conditions.”said American Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield in a statement.

The Israeli army announced the death of four hostages in Gaza. The army has “informed the families of Chaïm Peri, Yoram Metzger, Amiram Cooper and Nadav Popplewell” of the death of these hostages kidnapped during the Hamas attack on October 7. Three of these hostages announced dead this Monday, were from the Kibbutz of Nir Oz. “The immense pain that accompanies this painful news should shake every citizen of the State of Israel and lead all leaders to deep introspection”reacted the Forum of Hostage Families, in a press release.
