“Shame on them.” Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday October 5 criticized French President Emmanuel Macron and the leaders of countries who called for an end to arms deliveries to Israel. “As Israel fights the forces of barbarism led by Iran, all civilized countries should stand firmly with Israel. Yet President Macron and other Western leaders are now calling for arms embargoes against Israel. They should be ashamed.”the Israeli Prime Minister said in a video and a statement from his office.

The prime minister insisted his country was waging a multi-front war against organizations backed by Israel’s archenemy Iran. “Is Iran imposing an arms embargo on Hezbollah, the Houthis (rebels in Yemen), Hamas and its other proxies? Of course not”he said.

These movements are part of the“axis of resistance” against Israel, a group so called by Tehran which still brings together Iraqi groups. “This axis of terror is united. But the countries that are supposed to oppose this axis of terror are calling for an arms embargo on Israel. What a shame!”he added. “But their shame will endure long after victory. Rest assured that Israel will fight until the battle is won, for our sake and for the sake of peace and security in the world.”he said again.

“I think that today, the priority is that we return to a political solution, that we stop delivering weapons to carry out the fighting in Gaza”declared the Head of State in an interview broadcast on Saturday on France Inter. He also challenged the fact that France was delivering weapons to the Jewish state.
