While it goes up the Seine towards Paris, the beluga would be in poor health. On Friday August 5, associations tried to help him by feeding him herring.

A polar mammal in the middle of the Seine, towards Paris. Here are the very last images of the beluga, filmed by an NGO, Friday August 5, in the afternoon. All day, with great care, associations and firefighters observed the cetacean. The news is not good. His condition is worrying. Friday evening, they try to feed him with herring, in vain for the moment: “We don’t know if it’s going to work, but given his condition, it’s kind of the option we have to take if we want to hope to save his life.”

So how did this protected, endangered cetacean get here? The beluga took the stage. It would be this evening near the town of Andelys, in the Eure. Nearby, the inhabitants try to observe it. The animal can stay 25 minutes in apnea. And the beluga is not the first cetacean to venture into the Seine. In mid-May, it was an orca, filmed a few days before its death, despite an attempt to tow it. According to the associations, Friday evening, the state of the beluga is considered worrying.
