A horticulturist has been preparing her lily of the valley plans for more than a month in Warmhout (North). “Watch the temperatures, watch that the strand grows well, that it is regular, homogeneous”, she explains. She produces almost 10,000 pots of lily of the valley as May Day approaches. She hopes this season will be a success. “It remains a tradition, people like to have their lily of the valley. In addition, this year, with the weather conditions, it is not ready in the gardens. So we are happy to be able to provide some to our customers, we can see that , they are already coming“, she adds. Beautiful bells which represent a turnover of 45,000 euros.

Bouquets from 8 to 25 euros

They will deliver this lily of the valley throughout the region and even in Normandy. A few strands remain in store and will be sold in compositions from 8 to 25 euros. A price that customers are willing to pay to please their loved ones. “Since I was little, my parents took it, my grandparents took it and it’s little bells, it’s beautiful”, comments a customer. And if you buy it in a pot and water it daily, your lily of the valley should stay in bloom for at least two weeks.
