In Sweden, bell houses are emerging from the ground. Greenhouses were built all around the walls. This helps to absorb heat or keep it in when it is cold.

According to the owners of bell houses in Sweden, it is in autumn that these houses are the most beautiful. By buying a wooden house in 2004, a Franco-Swedish couple had an amazing idea: to build a huge greenhouse of 200 m2 around it. The original idea was to build a house in symbiosis around nature. The speciality ? The interior of the greenhouse looks like a botanical garden with plants that usually did not withstand Swedish temperatures.

If the plants thrive, it is thanks to the heat in the greenhouse where it gets hot quickly. The couple decided to build a rooftop terrace where life is good. “On days like today when it’s 13 degrees outside, on the terrace, it can quickly get 20 degrees“, explains Charles Sacilotto, owner of a natural house. Unfortunately, in summer, it can quickly be over 40 degrees. For this greenhouse, the couple spent more than 80,000 euros, but made huge savings in energy.
