Belgian singer Claude Barzotti, singer of “Rital”, died at the age of 69

Belgian singer-songwriter Claude Barzotti has died at his home of cancer, his manager announced on Saturday (June 24th). Claude Barzotti is the author of slows which marked the 1980s as Love me, Madam Or I won’t write to you anymore.

The singer ” died aged 69 in his bed, surrounded by his two daughters“, in a commune between Brussels and Charleroi, in Belgium, said his manager Laurent Comtat. ” Barzotti preferred to be called a singer of emotion rather than a romantic. He was a lively flayed, a real sensitive, who drank to fight against his stage fright“, he clarified.

Number one in France

His song Madam sold over 200,000 copies in the course of 1983.” I am rital and I remain so“, also sang Barzotti in one of his hits The Rital, where the one who was born near Charleroi on July 23, 1953 evoked his origins. Two songs by Claude Barzotti (The Rital And Madam) are featured in the film’s soundtrack Camping. He participated in seasons 3, 4 and 5 of the Age tender and Têtes de bois tour from 2008 to 2011. He filled the Olympia on January 19 and 20, 2009 with the show I come back from a tripfrom which a live album was taken in the spring of 2009. He took part in the Zénith de la solidarité on February 20, 2011 in Lille.

His penultimate album Passing time was released in June 2015. He continues to host galas and concerts. In 2019, he released his latest album, A man. From January to April 2020, he participated in the Age tender tour, the idol tour. In November 2020, he announced that he was ending his career due to serious health problems.
