Thanks to his masterful second Olympic victory (20/20 in shooting!) of the week, by winning this Sunday in the Men’s Biathlon Pursuit at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, Quentin Fillon-Maillet becomes the first French athlete to win – at least – 4 medals during the same winter and summer Olympiad !
Gold twice therefore, for the 29-year-old from the Jura who also offered twice the money (Mixed Relay and Men’s Sprint) over the past nine days!
And this box full of Olympic medals – 4 in as many races ! – arouses a fervent enthusiasm increasingly growing, especially Saint-Laurent-en-Grandvaux, the village of QFM who, like his darling child, dreams of a monumental 6/6 at the end of the last two races still on the program in China…
The giant screen of Saint-Laurent-en-Grandvaux will also broadcast the men’s relay this Tuesday, February 15
In the gymnasium of the Jura commune, where a giant screen is installed, there were around 300 fans who came to watch the day before, this Saturday, February 12, the superb 2nd place of the boss of world biathlon in the men’s Sprint of the Beijing Olympics.
And this Sunday at midday, they were more than double: over 800 to push and encourage Quentin Fillon-Maillet in the footsteps of his magnificent new victory.
Fans of all ages and very high decibels, to break the vocal cords and with noisy bells and other clarines also ! And of course, always the faithful, the “QFM clan”: his parents, Hélène and Laurent, as well as all his other relatives (family, friends and Ski Club du Grandvaux).
In view of this enthusiasm, and also of the Olympic form of the local and world star (!) from now on, the giant screen of Saint-Laurent-en-Grandvaux will broadcast – in addition to the men’s Mass Start this Thursday, February 17 (10 a.m.) – the men’s relay of the Biathlon Blues this Tuesday, February 15 (10 a.m.) : before the start of the Games, the giant screen broadcast was only planned for Sprint, Pursuit and Mass Start…
