Women will lead the charge in Beijing
The change was orchestrated at the Tokyo Olympics last summer. Increasingly, women are the big stars of Olympic events. The trend seems to be confirmed at the Beijing Games, where the main headliners are female athletes. The pool is huge, as nearly 1,300 Olympians will be in China, but five of them, in addition to the Canadians, will be watched with particular interest.
