Recorded in January in Montpellier, the Enfoirés show is broadcast on Friday March 4 at 9:10 p.m. on TF1. The most watched entertainment on television brings together around ten million viewers each year. Health crisis obliges, for the second consecutive year, the 36 artists gathered on stage sang in front of an empty room. Faced with the health protocol limiting the gauges to 2,000 spectators, the organizers preferred to reimburse the 50,000 tickets sold.

“We didn’t want to favor 2,000 people over the others. We couldn’t draw lots” explains Anne Marcassus, the volunteer artistic director of the show since 1993. This shortfall is estimated at four million euros for the association.

“I think a lot of people have decided not to be reimbursed for making a donation. There is a lot of solidarity around Restos and it’s great.”

Among the artists present, the public will find the historical: Zazie, Patrick Bruel, Patrick Fiori or Gérard Jugnot. Arnaud Ducret, Camélia Jordana, Anne Sila or Jérémy Frérot join the troupe. “We lack girls so our priority is to find girls but we also work according to the news. These are people who stand out.” continues Anne Marcassus. Catherine Lara is also making her return after ten years of absence and some criticism of the excesses of the show. “The atmosphere has always been excellent but it’s true that there has been a massive arrival of the new generation who sing, dance and play comedy. Some wanted to pass their turn. We have always said that if we find good ideas, they would come and that’s what we did with Catherine.” explains the television producer.

This year, Les Enfoirés in support of Restos du Coeur invite viewers to travel through space and time. The 22 tableaux of the show will take them to the air, to a university campus or to an airport. The sketches were shot behind the scenes. “Last year there was no audience to laugh at the sketches shot on stage. It was criticized so we chose to tell the story of life behind the scenes. It is not meant to be hilarious but I find the sketches very funny”, concludes Anne Marcassus.

From Saturday, the double CD and DVD of the show 2022 An air of Enfoirés will be put on sale for the benefit of the Restos du Cœur. Each sale makes it possible to distribute 17 meals. It is also possible to make a donation on the association’s website.
