Behind the scenes of the front pages of Gourmand Summer

The front pages of Gourmand Summer, it takes preparation! And well in advance. The stripped-down presentations of the last six weekends, imagined by the production division head, Julie Grimard, required a whole logistical process.

For the photoshoot and the carving of the featured lobsters, muffuletta, skewers, tinto de verano, sausages and strawberries, stylist and graphic designer Catherine Bernard used her imagination for hours to make the static elements tempting and playful.

“The idea was to treat a food like an object in order to present it from a different angle,” she relates, cheerfully. Alone against a solid background, it catches our eye. The challenge was to make the food float in the air. The studio was then transformed into a DIY workshop, in front of the attentive lens of our expert photographer Hugo-Sébastien Aubert. »

Here’s a look at the work that’s been done in recent weeks.
