So we were at Juliette’s, who was sitting at her piano. We asked her if she recognized herself as masters in the profession of song. Georges Brassens and Jacques Brel, of course – it’s a bit through them that one often becomes an artist of song. And then, in the case of Juliette, there are the two passions of youth for Jacques Higelin and for Claude Nougaro. But admirations do not draw a self-portrait, nor decide what will be a young singer.
