Beets, with a sweet and wild taste, are eaten cooked and raw

Beets contain betalain which gives them their attractive color. Betalain has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and liver protective properties. Another advantage of the beet: its fiber and protein content, it has more than other vegetables. And, these are not its only qualities!
