because of a “childhood illness”, Charlene and Albert’s children missed everything!

Were Jacques and Gabriella deprived of going out on December 7, 2023? Unfortunately, the princely twins were notably absent from the kick-off of the Christmas lights throughout the Principality. As reported by our colleagues from Monaco MorningPrince Albert and his wife, Charlene, were accompanied by Princess Stéphanie and Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy, while their children, who will be 9 years old on December 10, were in bed, because of a “benign childhood illness”, as explained by the Prince’s Palace.

They missed an opportunity to go sledding and rides!

And it’s a real shame for them, who were unable to enjoy the Christmas Village, decorated in particular with 800 natural fir trees, illuminated fountains and a Ferris wheel. Jacques and Gabriella, who are usually on the front line for this type of event, also missed “a toboggan run and rides for children” reports the daily. For her part, Charlene of Monaco was wrapped up in an appropriate red coat, signed Burberry, for the occasion. She wore lovely pearls, in her ears, as well as leather boots and a black turtleneck.

A magical decor

The mother of the twins was very complicit with her husband, without the children. And they will be able to do it again with their family, since the site will be animated until January 7, 2023, around forty chalets and 19 food stands. This Thursday evening, their parents also lit up the Place du Casino in Monte-Carlo, decorated this year with the theme of “Christmas Carol”, by Charles Dickens. On site, apart from the Christmas baubles, a huge tree, fifteen meters high and illuminated by 4,000 LEDs, was installed. The end of year celebrations in Monaco are serious.
