Bebe Rexha hospitalized after being hit in the face by a cell phone

Bebe Rexha was rushed to hospital on Sunday night after a bystander threw a cellphone in her face.

The singer was performing at the Rooftop at Pier 17 when a phone hit her in the side of the face. The stunned singer cupped her face in her hands and then fell to her knees.

New York police released a statement on Monday revealing that Bebe, 33, was hospitalized after the incident and a man was arrested.

“On Sunday, June 18, 2023 at approximately 10 p.m., police received a report of an assault that occurred at the Pier 17 concert space located at 89 South Street within the 1st Precinct compound,” the statement begins.

“A preliminary on-scene investigation determined that a 27-year-old man intentionally threw a cell phone at the singer, striking her in the face. The individual was arrested on the spot and taken to the post of the 1st arrondissement. The artist was transported by emergency medical services to an area hospital in stable condition.

Bebe Rexha received three stitches, her mother Bukurije Rexha told various media.

The star was performing as part of her Best F’n Night Of My Life tour. She is then expected Tuesday in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
