A driver crashed on Route 204 in Beauce on Sunday morning and his life is still in danger.
The accident occurred around 6 a.m. on Sunday, said Adam Marineau, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ). For reasons that are still unknown, the driver of the vehicle, who was traveling eastbound on Route 204, apparently veered out of his lane.
“The sole occupant of the vehicle, the driver, was taken to hospital, and his life is currently in danger,” the spokesperson explained.
Route 204 remains closed to traffic in both directions for the time being, between Route 269 southbound and Saint-Martin. An SQ police officer specialized in collision investigations is currently on the scene to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
