Beatrice of York: Floral look alongside her husband to honor Queen Elizabeth II

It was a day of celebration on this Wednesday, May 11 in London. An equestrian gala, the Royal Windsor Horse Show, will be celebrated on the occasion of Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee and the whole troupe offered a preview of the show at Windsor Castle before the official performance! The Sovereign, weakened by health concerns and mobility problems, wisely stayed at home but took part in the festivities by being represented. It was none other than her granddaughter Beatrice of York and her husband, the property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, that she decided to send in her place.

Beatrice from York was very pleased to participate in this event. It was with a smile from ear to ear, dressed in a long flowery dress with slightly iridescent reflections (see slideshow), that the 33-year-old princess arrived on the red carpet. She was accompanied by Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, the man to whom she said “yes” on July 17, 2020 and with whom she had a daughter, Sienna, as elegant as her other half. The 38-year-old businessman was dressed in dark suit pants, a white shirt accented with a black bow tie and a black velvet jacket.

Little by little, members of the Windsor clan are gaining more and more importance in the public life of the royal family. If until a few months ago the main actors of the monarchy were limited to Kate Middleton and William, Meghan Markle and Harry and Prince Charles and Camilla, the circle was forced to be enlarged after the departure of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in America and the physical glitches encountered by the Queen.

The health of Queen Elizabeth II has been a source of concern for several months. It must be said that life has not spared the Sovereign lately. Between the tensions with Meghan Markle and Harry, the dirty business of Prince Andrew, the crisis of the Covid-19 which she ended up contracting and which left her sequels and the death of her pillar of life, Prince Philip, the queen’s nerves were put to the test.

Now forced to use a cane to get around, Elizabeth II, 96, prefers to preserve herself and limit appearances to what is strictly necessary. The reason why she did not take part in the garden parties which she organizes each spring in the gardens of Buckingham, why she let her son Charles deliver the speech in Parliament recently and why she skipped Easter Mass, which she only missed 4 times in her life. More than ever, the British are on the lookout…
