Amiens may have regrets. Despite a stirring end of the game, Amiens did not manage to equalize against a team from Ajaccio who came to win on the smallest of scores (1-0) at La Licorne. The ASC remains in 18th place in the ranking.
For this match against one of the champions of the championship, Philippe Hinschberger was able to count on an almost complete group. Only Mickaël Alphonse, still injured, stayed at home. The ASC coach has chosen to leave several usual holders on the bench as Arnaud Lusamba or the two leading attackers, Tolu and Aliou Badji.
The Corsicans were dangerous first with a center of Yanis Cimignani than Gaetan Courtet took over the head. Regis Gurtner managed, almost point-blank to deflect the ball for a corner. Amiens therefore suffered for ten minutes before waking up. Eddy Gnahore broke through the ACA defense and his cross shot was deflected for a corner by a defender and then by the goalkeeper Benjamin Leroy.
Balanced start to the game
At the quarter of an hour of play, it is Kader Bamba who hurt the defense and was able to serve Chadrac Akolo in full surface. But the Congolese, turning around in a pivot, slipped. Kader Bamba tried his luck directly on a free kick full axis at about thirty meters. But his strike failed directly into the Corsican wall. Ajaccio finds the opening before the break

Amiens again looked for benchmarks at the start of the second period. By long balls, the Picards tried to worry the Corsicans but without success. Mateo Pavlovic received a yellow card in the first ten minutes of this second half for a foul on Gaetan Courtet.
Triple offensive change
On the hour mark, Philippe Hinschberger made a triple substitution with the entries ofArnaud Lusamba, Tolu and Aliou Badji instead ofEddy Gnahoré, Chadrac Akolo and Jessy Benet. Changes that boosted the Amiens who got a big chance. But the center ofAliou Badji found no one in the penalty area.
Amiens still roadblocker
Amiens pushed, especially in the last quarter of an hour. Aliou Badji tried his luck on a heavy strike, pushed back for a corner by Benjamin Leroy. Aliou Badji, very restless, tried his luck one minute from the end of regulation time but his header was blocked at the last moment.
Despite the onslaught of the Picards, the Corsicans held on and pocketed another success which allowed them to stay on the podium. Amiens, after this seventh defeat is, conversely, still a barrage.
Amiens will continue in three days with a new home match against Guingamp and will continue at the same pace the following week. First with the postponed match of the 21st day against Rouen-Quevilly (Wednesday) then in the Coupe de France, in Nancy for a place in the quarter-finals.
