A young driver received a hefty fine for speeding on the highway last week in Beaconsfield.
On August 8, Sûreté du Québec patrol officers stopped the 23-year-old man while he was driving at 205 km/h on Highway 20, in an area where the speed limit is 100 km/h.
The driver was thus given a fine of $1,976, along with 24 demerit points.
His driving license was also suspended for seven days.
