(Gstaad) The Canadians lost in the quarter-finals of a World Beach Volleyball Tour tournament on Saturday in Gstaad, Switzerland.

Toronto’s Melissa Humana-Paredes and her playing partner Sarah Pavan of Kitchener, Ont., lost 21-11, 21-13 to Brazilians Duda and Ana Patricia.
Elsewhere, Australia’s Mariafe Artacho and Taliqua Clancy defeated Toronto’s Sophie Bukovec and Brandie Wilkerson 16-21, 21-10, 15-12.
Duda and Patricia defeated Bukovec and Wilkerson last month in the final of the Beach Volleyball World Championships in Rome.
