In partnership with the government, the editorial staff of the bimonthly magazine Astrapi produced a 16-page illustrated booklet, entitled No to cyberbullying. The publication of this guide intended for children and young adolescents was announced by the publishing house on Tuesday April 2. It can already be downloaded from the Bayard Jeunesse website and will be distributed with the magazines Astrapi, I like to read And Images Doc from April 15.

The booklet describes three situations of cyberharassment in three short comics: a child is insulted on his favorite online game, the sister of a little girl is the target of mockery on the networks because of a photo distributed without her consent and a boy starts a rumor about another on their sports WhatsApp group.

Each time, the booklet gives concrete advice for reacting to this situation, by calling the telephone number (3018) of the national listening system for victims of online violence. “Today, while the average age of the first cell phone in France is 9 years, 1 in 5 children are victims of cyberbullying,” underlined Bayard Jeunesse in a press release. In the past, the children’s publisher has released other similar guides, particularly on sexual violence against children.
