Celebrating Two Decades of Love: The Big Reunion
The beloved RTL dating show ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ is gearing up for a momentous occasion at the start of the new year. On January 16, the channel will commemorate 20 successful seasons with a spectacular event titled ’20 Years of Farmer Wants a Wife – The Big Reunion.’ This special celebration will bring together many farmers and farmerettes from all seasons, creating what host Inka Bause describes as “a big family reunion.” She adds, “Today is a very, very special day because ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ has brought us all together.”
Narumol and Josef: A Heartwarming Journey
Among the noteworthy attendees is dairy farmer Josef, 64, along with his wife Narumol, 59, who captured the hearts of viewers during the fifth season. Narumol is fondly remembered for her memorable catchphrases, such as “I’m done and finished.” The couple resides on their picturesque farm in Bavaria with their daughter Jorafina, 13. In a touching moment during the reunion, Narumol expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am Thai, and suddenly I land in Bavaria and find my happiness on ‘Farmer Wants a Wife.’ It has given me so much love. I can only say heartfelt thanks, dear Inka.”
Looking to the future, Jorafina is eager to carry on the family legacy alongside her half-sister Jenny, 23. Josef beams with pride as he shares, “It’s just a great thing when the next generation continues the business. Not only my heart and soul are in it, but also that of our ancestors. Jenny and Jorafina are the right ones to continue the farm.”
The reunion will also feature special guests like farmer Herbert, 70, who made history by marrying his chosen partner Karin during the show’s early days. Reflecting on their journey, Bause reminisces, “You were my first filming day for ‘Farmer Wants a Wife.'” Other notable attendees include cattle breeder Patrick, who received the highest number of applications in season 16, and 74-year-old Canadian emigrant Andreas from season 14. Meanwhile, shepherd Heinrich, 58, remains hopeful for love, expressing his ongoing affection for Inka Bause.
However, not all stories are filled with joy, as Gerald, 39, and Anna, 34, share their struggles on their Namibian farm, which has been severely impacted by two years of drought. Despite their challenges, Anna’s work as an influencer offers a glimmer of hope, with the couple affirming, “We won’t give up!”
In the rich history of ‘Farmer Wants a Wife,’ over 200 farmers and farmerettes have participated, resulting in more than 40 weddings and nearly 50 adorable children. The latest addition to the family is dairy farmer Andre and his partner Julia, who proudly welcomed their daughter just a few months ago. Andre reflects on his transformation, saying, “A year ago I was single, I was alone, and now I have two girls. I didn’t even know one could be so happy.”
