(Grand-Remous) The body of the man who was missing after he fell from a boat late Saturday afternoon at the Baskatong reservoir in the Outaouais region has been found.
Sûreté du Québec (SQ) divers located the man’s body around 7:15 p.m. Sunday in the area where he was last seen.
His death was pronounced on the spot. He is a 20-year-old man, resident of Saint-Jérôme. He was not wearing a life jacket, the SQ confirmed.
Recall that around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, the emergency services were called to go to the Baskatong reservoir, in the municipality of Grand-Remous, in the Pointe à David sector.
The man in his twenties was on a motor boat with about ten people before falling from the boat.
Divers and boats from the Sûreté du Québec as well as firefighters participated in the search.
