(Montreal) Health restrictions linked to the COVID-19 pandemic are further relaxed as of Monday in restaurants, licensed establishments and casinos in Quebec, but not to the point of proclaiming a return to normal before the crisis.
In all these establishments, customers will always have to present their vaccination passport to enter and wear the mask when moving inside.
In restaurants, a customer register must be kept. There is no longer any capacity limit and it is now possible to reduce the distance between tables to 1 meter. Group reservations are also authorized without limit of participants, subject to certain conditions.
However, public health authorities impose a maximum of 10 people per table or the occupants of three residences. Indoors, a distance of 2 meters must be respected between tables which do not have a dividing wall.
The outdoor terraces can accommodate a maximum of 20 people per table or the occupants of three residences. A distance of 1 meter must be respected between tables which do not have a dividing wall.
On the other hand, the capacity limit is abolished from Monday in bars, brasseries, taverns and casinos and group bookings are also authorized without limit of participants under certain conditions.
It is also possible to apply the usual opening hours, but the sale of alcohol must cease at 1 a.m. and the closing of establishments is imposed at 2 a.m.
