“FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski for a total of 45 million euros plus 5 in variables. The Polish player will sign a four-season contract and his release clause s ‘amounts to 500 million euros’, says the club press release.
At almost 34 years old, he leaves Bayern Munich eight years after his arrival from Borussia Dortmund. Lewandowski left his mark on the club, scoring 344 goals in 375 games and becoming the second top scorer in German league history.
It strengthens an offensive sector of a Barça in difficulty, relegated to thirteen points from Real Madrid in the league and eliminated from the pools of the last Champions League. This arrival comes after that of the former Rennais Raphinha and the extension of Ousmane Dembélé.
