The invitation to join the troop of Motherfuckers is often experienced as a consecration for French artists. However, singer Barbara Pravi recently refused to participate in the 2022 edition, when she had been invited to become a full member of this troupe. What is the reason for this refusal? “Only” an overloaded schedule and events that the pretty brunette could not cancel. In this case, the 28-year-old artist had concerts planned when the show was filmed in Montpellier at the end of January.
Interviewed by the Parisian on February 11, 2022 a few minutes before his performance at the Music Awards 2022 (where she was crowned Female Revelation during the evening), the performer of the title here had just learned that his tube was going to be sung during the big show of Motherfuckers by three great French singers: Nolwenn Leroy, Anne Sila and Camélia Jordana. She reacts:Someone taught me that. It’s brilliant, incredible, a huge consecration! (…) Crazy ! They only took mega chicks! It makes me too happy, it moves me, it will make me cry to see them.“
However, Barbara Pravi does not rule out participating one day in the great spectacle of Motherfuckers. She explains : “I would love to take part in it one day, but I don’t want to commit myself lightly. To be in communion with all these artists, with 15,000 spectators, it must be fantastic. But if I go, I will stay all the week and I will fully commit!“Who knows, the singer – who narrowly missed first place at Eurovision 2021 – will perhaps participate in the Motherfuckers 2023?
Interviewed by SHE in 2021, she had in any case confided that performing on television in the big Eurovision show had completely upset her career which had immediately taken off after her passage. “For my career, it changed everything“, she confided. There is no doubt that accepting the invitation of Motherfuckers next year would also be a wonderful opportunity for his career.
