Baptiste Charroing, current director of production and distribution at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, will take over as general manager in the summer of 2025, at the end of Michel Franck’s third term, according to a press release published on Tuesday evening October 18. Arrived within the institution in 2020, this trained violist, chosen after an audition process, has for “mission to ensure the programming of the 2025 and following seasons”clarifies the text.

“His knowledge of music and of all the players in the musical world, his managerial and managerial skills were all qualities that won over the entire committee”underlined Eric Lombard, chairman of the board of directors of the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, quoted in the press release.

Baptiste Charroing will succeed Michel Franck, head of the theater since 2010. The latter, “not having wished to serve a fourth term”will leave his current position at the end of August 2025.
