[BALADO] The electric car and its climate balance: good or bad?

Transportation electrification is one of the main strategies of the Quebec government to reduce greenhouse gases.

And for good reason, the electric car does not emit GHGs during use.

But when you add the steps before the first mile, such as mining the minerals, manufacturing the batteries and the car itself, not to mention the end of the vehicle’s life, does the environmental footprint of the car electricity is really low?

Currently, we hear everything and its opposite on the subject and the debate is very polarized. What to believe? Who to believe? Is the electric car good for the climate or not?
