[BALADO] The astonishing fate of Grosse-Île

We tend to forget it, but between 1830 and 1940, it was at this place, now called Grosse-Île-et-le-Mémorial-des-Irlandais, where immigrants were placed in complete isolation during 40 days.

We wanted to avoid the spread of influenza, cholera, typhoid and other epidemics which overwhelmed Europe at that time. Here is his story.
