The twenties are synonymous with the end of studies, the dawn of a career, a lot of new questions. It is also sometimes the time when one thinks of starting a family and finding a roof under which to settle.
But with the pandemic, the affordable housing crisis and rampant inflation in the backdrop, not to mention the climate crisis that is becoming more and more pressing, young adults are directly affected by a gloomy economic context. A gloom that nevertheless finds an echo among those who were twenty years old at the start of the 1980s, and who were then bearing the brunt of a recession and an employment crisis. Was life really easier back then, as the saying goes?
