We could expect close and late results in the midterm elections in the United States on Tuesday evening. It was. The day after the election, it is still not known whether the Senate will pass into the hands of the Republicans, and even the majority in the House of Representatives has not yet been officially attributed.
What emerges from the last few hours, however, is that the broad Republican breakthrough anticipated has not materialized. Trumpism spokespersons were defeated, Democratic candidates with an uncertain fate managed to pull out of the game. The shadow of the former president did indeed tint the evening, but with mixed effects.
To try to put some order in all this, we join our journalist colleague Fabien Deglise, who is in Pennsylvania.
