For several years, sordid stories of sexual violence in elementary and secondary schools in Quebec have been piling up and arousing fear and anger in the population. After yet another revelation, the Minister of Education, Bernard Drainville, finally launched a general investigation into any situation that could raise fears for the physical or psychological safety of students. We come back to what led to this announcement, and we wonder if this solution is adapted to the reality on the ground.
