Haiti is plunged into a political and humanitarian crisis: cholera is experiencing a resurgence, more powerful gangs than the police control the strategic roads of the capital, the price of oil has exploded and there are countless kidnappings and assassinations.
In this context, calls for military intervention by the international community are increasing. However, such an approach would be far from unanimous, both among Haitians and within the Haitian diaspora. We look at the context of political and institutional vacuum in the background of the current situation.
