In Japan, the equivalents of our CHSLDs are making every effort to promote home care for seniors. Even in very remote areas, Japanese seniors have access to a range of à la carte services thanks to hybrid public-private funding. But a demographic crisis looming on the horizon could destabilize this system. What lessons can Quebec draw from this model?
